The Stadiums and Arenas Around the World Where I Have Attended Sporting Events

I’ve been to hundreds of sporting events around the U.S. and the world. Below I’ve tried to map out as many of the stadiums, arenas or facilities where I’ve attended one of these events. The photo above - that’s my photo from Ohio Stadium’s press box on July 27, 2016 when it hosted a friendly between Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain before a crowd of 86,641.

I say sporting events because these are not necessarily all ‘games’. These range from pro, college and National Team soccer games in all its forms - outdoor, indoor, futsal, beach, Paralympic - to American football, basketball, hockey, formula one racing, tennis, boxing, ski and snowboard competitions, volleyball, and maybe more that I’m forgetting.

I have a large collection of ticket stubs, but not for every event - and unfortunately, hardly any from the past 10 years as admittance has become digital.

Many facilities have changed names. Some were temporary structures (ex, Beach Soccer, Snowboard/Ski halfpipes), and a number of ‘permanent’ stadiums I had been to are no longer around. Google lets you map out the general area of some of these (ex. the Silverdome in Michigan, FIFA Beach World Cup Stadium in Dubai), but not others, like Cleveland Municipal Stadium or the Richfield Coliseum - where I witness numerous events, or Giants Stadium in NJ or the original Mile High Stadium in Denver (dozens of games at both), the Georgia Dome (2007 NCAA Basketball final between Ohio State and Florida), Riverfront Stadium (Cincinnati), Three Rivers Stadium (Pittsburgh), and many more.

Anyway, zoom in to see many of the ‘sporting facilities’ I’ve been to around the world.
